Step 1. Adjust the Smart Deadbolt Lock<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The various house designs would make each\u00a0house door<\/strong>\u00a0different. Therefore, you need to measure your door backset and adjust the\u00a0smart house door lock<\/strong>\u00a0accordingly. Here are the offered two adjustment methods based on the actual situation.<\/p>\n

Method 1: Convert From 2-3\/8\u2019\u2019(60mm) backset to 2-3\/4\u2019\u2019(70mm) Backset<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u25cf Rotate the cylinder cover clockwise (Figure 1b).<\/p>\n

\u25cfRotate the cylinder cover counter clockwise so that the marking aligns with the 2-3\/4\u201d(70mm) position indicator(Figure 1d).<\/p>\n

\u25cf Hold the latch with numbers facing forward and thumb pressing on the bolt (Figure 2a).<\/p>\n

\u25cf Rotate the cylinder cover clockwise (Figure 2b).<\/p>\n

\u25cfPull and twist the extension plate all the way in(Figure 2c).<\/p>\n

Step 2: Check the\u00a0Door\u00a0Opening Direction & Adjust the Smart Deadbolt Lock\u2019s Key Nail<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To ensure the right installation of the deadbolt door lock, it is necessary to determine the door opening direction.<\/p>\n

You could determine the door opening direction through the door fixing method. If you see the door from the outside and find the door’s front body is fixed on the right side of the door frame, the door opening direction is the right side. Whereas the door is fixed on the left side of the door frame, the door opening direction is the left.<\/p>\n

Then you accordingly turn the smart deadbolt door lock’s toggle button to the Right or Left.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Install the Deadbolt Latch Set<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Insert the retracted deadbolt latch set into the door edge hole with the word \u201cUP\u201d and the arrow on the extension plate facing UP. And, the cross-shaped spindle connector should be at the bottom of the deadbolt latch set.<\/p>\n

Ensure the face plate sits flush with the door. Notice: do not force the latch into the mortise flush.<\/p>\n

Screw two provided \u201cST3.5*20\u201d to fix the latch into the door with the use of the handheld screwdriver. Tips: Don\u2019t over-tighten the screwing.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Combine the Front Body with the Front Rubber Pad & Fix it on the Door<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Step 5: Make The Key Nail Piece Go Through the Deadbolt and the Cable Through the Door Hole<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Step 6: Rotate The Key Nail Piece to Test If the Deadbolt Works Smoothly<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Step 7: Check the Cable position and Fix the Front Body<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Make sure the cable\u00a0is\u00a0held the position near the mounting plate. Then fix the front body of the digital deadbolt lock with 2 screws (M4*30). The ST3.5*20 screw also is available.<\/p>\n

Step 8: Check the Thumb-Turning Direction<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If the door’s opening direction is left, the thumb turn should be horizontal. Otherwise, the turning direction should be vertical.<\/p>\n

Step 9: Ensure the Right Insertion of the Cable & Key Nail Piece<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Insert the cable into the wire connector, and ensure the cable is installed properly and securely. Insert the key nail piece into the hole in which the back of the thumb turns<\/p>\n

Step 10: Fix the Back Body to the Mounting Plate with Three Screws<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Step 11: Correctly Place the Batteries and Close the Battery Cover<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Step 12: Rotate and Test the Thumb-Turning Direction Again to Ensure A Smooth Working<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Step 13: Check the Whether The Deadbolt Latch Can Extend When You Rotate the Thumb Turn from Horizon to Vertical<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Step 14: Drill the Strike Box and Strike Plate According to the Strike Plate and Strike Box Size, Then Fix Them with Two Screws<\/strong><\/h2>\n
