In the modern days, a deadbolt lock is your reliable house safeguard. The home deadbolt locks not only increase the safety and security of your home but also provide a convenient entry method. The various house designs would make each house door different. Therefore, you need to measure your door backset and adjust the smart house door lock accordingly. Here are the offered two adjustment methods based on the actual situation.
● Hold the latch with numbers facing forward and thumb pressing on the bolt (Figure 1a).
● Rotate the cylinder cover clockwise (Figure 1b).
●Pull and twist the extension plate all the way out(Figure 1c).
●Rotate the cylinder cover counter clockwise so that the marking aligns with the 2-3/4”(70mm) position indicator(Figure 1d).
● Hold the latch with numbers facing forward and thumb pressing on the bolt (Figure 2a).
● Rotate the cylinder cover clockwise (Figure 2b).
●Pull and twist the extension plate all the way in(Figure 2c).
●Rotate the cylinder cover counter clockwise so that the marking aligns with the 2-3/4”(70mm) position indicator(Figure 2d).
To ensure the right installation of the deadbolt door lock, it is necessary to determine the door opening direction.
You could determine the door opening direction through the door fixing method. If you see the door from the outside and find the door's front body is fixed on the right side of the door frame, the door opening direction is the right side. Whereas the door is fixed on the left side of the door frame, the door opening direction is the left.
Then you accordingly turn the smart deadbolt door lock's toggle button to the Right or Left.
Insert the retracted deadbolt latch set into the door edge hole with the word “UP” and the arrow on the extension plate facing UP. And, the cross-shaped spindle connector should be at the bottom of the deadbolt latch set.
Ensure the face plate sits flush with the door. Notice: do not force the latch into the mortise flush.
Screw two provided “ST3.5*20” to fix the latch into the door with the use of the handheld screwdriver. Tips: Don’t over-tighten the screwing.
Make sure the cable is held the position near the mounting plate. Then fix the front body of the digital deadbolt lock with 2 screws (M4*30). The ST3.5*20 screw also is available.
If the door's opening direction is left, the thumb turn should be horizontal. Otherwise, the turning direction should be vertical.
Insert the cable into the wire connector, and ensure the cable is installed properly and securely. Insert the key nail piece into the hole in which the back of the thumb turns
